Goodbyes NE

    We left the field today ... Where did the year go? It sure flew by so quickly . Doesn't hardly seem real that I am going to FL shortly. I look forward to going but not leaving :). It has been such a wonderful year. Dear solid friends up north they took good care of me. One wonders sometimes how the heart is able to keep so many ppl in it!! Many times this year my heart had felt over flowing w love! 

        One of the friends in FL has been in touch w a warm welcome . They call her granny White, got my FL Gma now:) . She sends pics and it makes me even more excited about going. 

Looks a little different than here. 

So interesting hearing ppl from MN tell their experiences of FL... Some say hot hot hot others say , the Atlantic can be so cold make sure you bring a jacket the wind blows right through you . Hear about all the island ppl there and the zeal and energy of the ppl . Iv heard a couple times , FL is for the nearly dead and newlyweds Makes me laugh all the things Iv been told. Lots of Mn connections .... "Maybe you will meet so and so they live in this town. " Will see how it all compares . 

     Reasuring knowing even tho the culture, weather, unfamiliarities , ppl, maybe languages and sights will be different the spirit will be the same. Another family down south . 

   Got lots to enjoy before leaving . A week of preps to work my head off then convention and few days at home . 

   Iv been thinking and feeling a lot today but it's been good . 

Parents !

My parents came to visit. Love showing them the friends and the fields . We enjoyed both ! 

Gooseberry Falls which was really low But a fun hike and beautiful weather.

 

The famous split Rock lighthouse you see many pictures of ... I learned lighthouse all are different . Different colors, sides and other features. 

Devils kettle... The one on the left goes into a rock hole and they have no idea where it ends up! So cool N of Grand Marais , worth seeing! And a big hike.

Went w this great family the Fontains from the woods of Grand Marais. Tyler went swimming. 

Filled the afternoon w fun, fellowship, laughter and a picnic too :).

Got to end the trip w a g mtg. Glad my folks got to meet more friends up here. 

Was a good quick couple days!

The marathon

Only a few weeks left in the field and lots to do and ppl to visit. Had wonderful day at Seneca conv in IL, good to be out there slept in the same bed for 6 night .

- The deeper we go in Gods way and the more we let go the more we feel the power of God.

    Now been sleeping in a different bed past 6 nights . Good to see so many ppl. We took our time going through WI visiting and meetig ppl along the way . So good to see uncle Georgie , he was doing so good . 

Got back to our field Monday afternoon , then went to a fun yellow bridal shower for Melinda. Tuesday we got to go up to Grand Marais again for g mtg. Love those mtgs and friends up there. Then Off to Finland, Ely, Effie, Grand Rapids, And now cities and back to Esko tonight . A park wedding today 😀

    Excitement in Ely was seeingn a wolf run through the back yard when we were eating outside!! Good to see the beautiful north county one more time before leaving and the dear friends. Hard saying goodbye but it more like see you later!! 

Ely adventure

If you ever get a chance to go to Ely GO. It's such a neat town and has lots goin in in summer and some things in winter too. . The friends up there are so wonderful too, the best part of it all! 

The bear center, got to watch them feed the Bears. Really neat you get to get right up close.

They also have a wolf center. They got them to come right up and stay a while 

Summer Tues nights, music and farmers market in park, live music up and down streets by the shops. Our friend Wayne is waving . 

 The sweet kids that live up there too . Puts a smile on your face . 

And warms your heart. 

Ice sculptures in the park in winter. 

And endless water/camping/hiking activities . Good food and great shopping.
