Here is s sample of LA. Beautiful area, small little quiet towns, dogs barking all around, few gun shots goin off. The friendliest straightforward honest good hearted loving ppl!! 

Deep fried turkeys!! They sure were tasty 

A pretty copper head poisons snake on the walkin trail. Brothers said I should have killed it but I forgot to bring a shovel , who wld have thought I needed that !!

Gumbo their famous dish there, was yummy 

Fish , boiled shrimp, first time having it boiled, was good and Andouille sausage ... Yup we ate very well. Of course SWEET tea all the time . 

They put this on EVERYTHING !! And it's really good too

These 2 dear sisters, we had a great time together. Nights were never long enough ! Special to meet them and have time together, loved them right away . Glad for the sweet fellowship and quick friendship .

Granny's porch

The quiet still night, a gentle breeze, an owl in the distance, animals splashing in the river, bugs in the zapper and a soft overflowing peaceful heart .

Sand, shells and salt water

Yes we made it to the ocean today ,  a quick stop on the way north . Long enough to dip our feet in the water, feel the ocean breeze and find some Shells. 

Little Lizards

These little guys are all over and on everything.  Some 1" others 6". They seem friendly and will tilt their head to watch you . Pretty cute. 

Also saw couple iguanas along the road by the river today as we drove by . 1-3' long ! fascinating to me. Don't have them in MN

This one was big , outside a hospital door. 

I was wishing Abby a happy birthday and saw this green one on the way ! Pretty exciting :) 

Cleaning outside of brothers quarters and this one was just hanging out there.

I was pulling weeds and this one was in the A/C fan thing 

He was sitting there as I was pulling weeds. 

The best for last. Outside the door of the house at conv. I was feeling the leave 6" over from him and didn't see him right away . Has a hint of pink down his back .

Jamaican food

Breakfast - Not bacon and eggs it's Ackee & salt fish(cod) & boiled green bananas .  Ackee & fish was so flavorful . 

Ackee growing on the tree. Is closed and when it is ripe it opens up and is safe to eat . It's poisonous until the gas inside opens it up . Than you eat the yellow part.

Supper isn't just one dish it's 2 meats, salmon & chicken , potatoes, veggies  3 types of bread, plus bread pudding & fruit. 

Or more of a traditional Jamaican meal

Rice & peas, curry chicken & fried bananas. 

Homemade coconut milk!!:) to cook the rice . 

Coconuts On the tree

Hit 2x w an ax to open than cut out of shell 

Cut it in smaller pieces ( & and a dish for me to eat )

Put it in the blender w water 

Strain, Squeeze out the milk  & use it

I'm getting spoiled w the yummy food and fresh off the tree fruits.  Bananas really do taste sweeter and better fresh !

Shrimp, sea bass, red fish, pork ! Rice Mac n cheese and veggies !

Little things

What we walked into , Starburst on every workers chair yesterday before mtg.  After mtg we were handed smarties tonight . The little ways ppl express they care, love and appreciate you. She said no words but her actions said it all .

  It's  Been so real here this week the love of the ppl . Feels like home the smiles, greetings , hugs, handshakes and words. Melts my heart and makes me so so thankful, overflowing with love. Glad for the unity and fellowship we can have w complete strangers Cz of what we share in Him.
